The lightsaber requires 3 'AA' batteries to power the glowing polycarbonate blade and multiple motion-sensored sound effects, including an idle hum and clashing noises. The hilt is customized to look like Anakin's movie lightsaber. This replica lightsaber is approximately 44 1/2" in length.
