Perfect 50s Housewife Costume

Step out of a 1950s women's magazine and into your 21st century Halloween party in this 50s Housewife Costume. It's a short-sleeved shirtwaist dress made of pink polyester tricot printed with red cherries and green stems & leaves. It fastens like a shirt at center front with Hook and Loop fastener™ tabs sewn behind non-functional buttons. The sleeve cuffs and shirt-style collar are white broadcloth. The skirt is gathered all around and has a box pleat at center front. The apron is white broadcloth with white lace along the bottom edge and two strips of red satin ribbon above it. It has a red gingham pocket edged with lace at the right hip, and ties behind the waist with self-fabric ties. Add a strand of faux pearls to complete the look!
